Now what?

Step 1: Know that there's a God;
If you dont know.. Find out..

Whether or not there is an actual God in existence, changes everything, particularly if it's "The God" we're talking about here.. (Yahweh/Yehovah/Elohim).
and if God didn't exist, wouldn't you want to know that too? would that change the way you lived your life?

Step 2:
Assuming that you've had a personal encounter, or seen enough evidence to "believe" or "Know" that there's a God,
Know that he offers eternal life to all those who are "Faithfully allegiant" to his son, 
(See John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that everyone who is *Faithfully allegiant* to Him may not perish, but may have "Continuous life.))
in most translations, it reads :
...God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that everyone who BELIEVES IN Him may not perish, but may have Continuous life.
but the words "Believe in him" are actually a translation of the Greek word "Pisteuon", Stemming from "Pistis" meaning: 
"To be faithful to"
an allegiance to Christ can also be symbolic, in that one lives out kindness, gentleness and self sacrifice in their lives, but that, and an "allegiance to christ" (The individual) often go hand in hand.

so;
The question is;
What then?

We would reccomend that you read The Gospels, to better understand the nature and teachings of Christ,
and then, try and live the teachings;
